Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 30th National Commission for Women (NWC) Foundation Day Program virtually on January 31. The theme of the program is ‘She The Change Maker’, aimed at celebrating the achievements of women in different fields. Women and Children Minister Smriti Z Irani also attended the event. While addressing at the foundation day, he said that through Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, women’s role is continuously expanding. “Nowadays women are providing jobs to people. Government is supporting women through various schemes like Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana. Women's role is continuously expanding. Therefore, the expansion of the role of the National Commission for Women is also need of the hour,” PM Modi.
