“There is no dissident activity in the party. The state unit leaders are holding meetings to strengthen the party. In fact, I will also join them on Wednesday to continue deliberations,” he told reporters here.

Regarding a section of MLAs holding a meeting in Bangalore on Monday under the leadership of state party president K S Eashwarappa, he said “I have instructed them to hold a meeting to make a strategy to win all the three seats in the Assembly bypolls.” There was no need to attach any significance to such meetings, he added.

Yeddyurappa said he would meet party president Nitin Gadkari, general secretary Arun Jaitley  and other leaders here on Tuesday to discuss the state party issues with them.

Sources close to him said the CM would raise the issue of Eshwarppa and Ananth Kumar to request them to rein in both the leaders in the interest of the government.

After meeting several Union ministers, Yeddyuparra and his trusted ministers proceeded to an undisclosed destination.
