It’s World Cabin Crew Appreciation Day on May 31
On this day, the efforts and dedication of flight attendants and cabin crew is recognised.
The day is called World Cabin Crew Appreciation Day and International Flight Attendant Day too. It was first celebrated in 2015 in a few countries, but it is now celebrated all around the globe.
The feast day of St Bona of Pisa is on May 29. It is believed that St Bona is the patron saint of flight attendants. She is said to come from the third order of Augustinian nuns who helped pilgrims.
More than a job being a flight attendant is a calling. Flight attendants put their lives on the line to save ours in case of an emergency.
We should be thankful for making air travel more pleasant, comfortable and safe for millions of travellers every single year.
Happy International Cabin Crew Day!
