Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus, once again, upped the game with the launch of its flagship devices, the OnePlus7 Pro and OnePlus 7, in Bengaluru on Tuesday evening.
The price range of the sets ranges from Rs 32,999 to Rs 57,999.
“We constantly challenge ourselves to give people the best experience possible,” said Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus. “A great user experience means freedom and should enhance your life instead of distracting you from it. I’m so proud of what we’ve built with the OnePlus 7 series and can’t wait for people to try out the display.”
The OnePlus7 Pro features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and an Adreno 640 graphics processing unit. Adding to it is a whopping 12 GB of RAM.
Another unique technology in the Pro is the RAM Boost, which is an upgraded feature on the OnePlus 7 Pro. This will learn from usage habits and intelligently allocate available RAM to memory-intensive applications.
The Pro handset uses liquid cooling. The rear of the handset has a triple camera setup, with the highest being a 48 MP main shooter with a Sony IMX586 sensor. The setup also includes Google Lens. The front is a 6.67-inch notch-free QHD fluid AMOLED curved glass display with a pop-up camera. The refresh rate has been upped to 90 Hz that allows for a smooth experience while watching video or playing games.
The Pro has a 4000 mAh battery with warp charge, which will charge the battery to almost half after being plugged in for about 20 minutes.
As far as the audio is concerned, the phone features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The Pro will run the OxygenOS 9.5 version of Android and will be available in 3 colours.
The Pro also includes a phone down feature that will keep only basic receiving calls and emergency calls for a period of 20 minutes.
OnePlus has also customised the phone for the India region that will provide local news and updates.
The OnePlus 7 boasts of the same Snapdragon 855 processor and also features the 48 MP main camera.
