Last year, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 8 series in April second week, but due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the product release was delayed around the world. This time, the Chinese company is bringing its successor early by a month.
OnePlus is slated to launch the next-gen flagship OnePlus 9 in March, reported 91Mobiles blog citing insiders. Also, it has plans to unveil the company's first-ever smartwatch.
OnePlus 9 is expected to come in three variants-- a low-end OnePlus 9R, a standard OnePlus 9, and a top-end OnePlus 9 Pro.
The OnePlus 9R will the most affordable of the lot. It is said to come with a 6.5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 CPU, 8GB RAM, a 64MP primary camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 9 will come with a 6.55-inch screen, triple-camera module- 48MP + 48MP + 8MP on the back, 16MP front snapper, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, and a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging tech.
The OnePlus 9 Pro will have a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, Hasselblad camera (with 50MP + 48MP+8MP 2MP) on the back, 16MP front snapper, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 65W charger.
All three OnePlus 9 series phones will run Android 11-based OxygenOS out-of-the-box.
As far as the OnePlus Watch is concerned, it is expected to feature a classic circular dial design. Under-the-hood, it is said to run Google Wear OS powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear chipset, most probably 4000 series. More details are likely to surface online, as OnePlus is known to reveal key features to drum up awareness and curiosity among consumers and fans ahead of the device launch.
