Emerging smartphone-maker Realme launched the much-awaited Realme 8 series, the successor of the popular Realme 7 series in India.

Like the predecessor, the new Realme 8 too, comes in two variants-- top-end Realme 8 Pro and standard Realme 8.

The Realme 8 Pro comes with a 6.4-inch full HD+ (2400 × 1080p) super AMOLED screen and offers up to 1000 nits brightness. It also features an in-screen fingerprint sensor and also three slots-- two SIMS (type: nano) and a dedicated microSD card.

Inside, it houses an 8nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor backed by Adreno 618 GPU graphics engine, Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0, 6GB / 8GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM, 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage (further expandable up to 256GB) and a 4,500mAh battery with 50W Dart fast charging support.

As far as the photography hardware is concerned, it boasts quad-camera module-- main 108MP (with 1/1.52-inch Samsung HM2 sensor, 0.7μm pixel size, f/1.88 , UIS/UIS Max) + 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.25) + 2MP B&W portrait camera + 2MP 4cm macro sensor (f/2.4) backed by LED flash. On the front, 16MP (Sony IMX471 sensor, f/2.45)

Inside, it houses 12nm class MediaTek Helio G95 octa-core processor backed by 900MHz Mali-G76 3EEMC4 graphics engine, Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0, 4GB / 6GB / 8GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM, 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage (further expandable up to 256GB) and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W Dart fast charging support.

It features quad-camera module-- main 64MP ( 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.79, UIS/UIS Max) + 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.3) + 2MP B&W portrait camera + 2 MP 4cm macro sensor (f/2.4) backed by LED flash. On the front, it feature 16MP (Sony IMX471 sensor, f/2.45).

Realme 8 Pro comes in three colours-- Infinite Blue, Infinite Black and Illuminating Yellow. It will be available in two variants-- 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM-- for Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999.

There is a lucrative offer, where users can get the devices for Rs 12,599 and Rs 13,999 only if you buy them on Flipkart with Smart Upgrade Plan.

The Realme 8 comes in two colours-- Cyber Silver and Cyber Black. It comes in three models- 4GB RAM, 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM-- for Rs 14,999, 15,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively.

Consumers can also get an additional discount up to 10% on all the models Realme 8 and 8 Pro if bought through ICICI credit card with EMI plans.
