Sethi and Advani, who qualified for Group Stage II as seeds one and three respectively after impressive shows in Stage I, were in complete command again at the Northern Snooker Centre, according to information reaching here.
While Sethi crushed Australia’s Neil Bolton 750-120, Advani defeated compatriot Alok Kumar 750-416.
In all, eight Indians qualified for Stage II. Powered by a break of 207, Rupesh Shah was the only other winner apart from Sethi and Advani, scripting a hard-fought 750-683 win over countryman Sourav Kothari. Bangalore’s B Bhaskar went down 258-750 to Australia’s Matthew Bolton while last year’s runner-up Dhruv Sitwala suffered a 220-750 defeat to Singapore’s Peter Gilchrist.
