A top class bowling display from New Zealand that was spearheaded by Trent Boult (3/37). Lockie Ferguson (2/35) and Tim Southee (1/51) were also among the wickets as were the spin duo of Mitchell Santner (2/22) and Rachin Ravindra (2/21).
Kusal Perera blasted a quick fifty (51 off 28 balls) up front but no other batter apart from Maheesh Theekshana (38* off 91 balls) was able to get past the 20-run mark as New Zealand kept plucking away at the wickets.
The Kiwis will fancy themselves to chase down this total in double-quick time and take a giant step towards securing their semifinal berth.

Good work done. Wicket was probably a little different to what we thought. Half the job done, confident we can go out and chase it. Little slower than we thought, there might be dew later and might come on to the bat a bit better. Always a learning curve coming to this part of the world. Trent Boult (3/37) was the star with the ball as they restricted Sri Lanka to a measly 171 on a decent batting track.
Devon Conway (45) and Rachin Ravindra (42) then provided a lightening quick start for the Kiwis and Daryl Mitchell (43) then carried forward their good work to help seal the win in just 23.2 overs to give their Net Run Rate a big boost.
Pakistan will need an unrealistically massive victory against England now to catch the Kiwis who will face India in the semifinals.

We lost 4 wickets in first 10 overs and that's what got us into trouble. We could have easily gotten 300 on this pitch. Madushanka bowled really well but it was tough to take wickets because we were defending a small total. Quite enjoyed captaincy, disappointed about my own performance but overall it was enjoyable. Really good performance. Early wickets and spin was a challenge through those middle overs. Pitch really slowed down later. The guys showed some good intent later with the chase so great performance overall. We thought there was going to be some weather later but there wasn't any. Hard to read such things. Glad we were able to pick up wickets, people like Perera can take the game away from you. Always great getting our 5th and 6th spinners into the game, a great effort overall. Few teams can end up on the same points, it's about control. Hopefully we can get a couple of days off, we'll be hanging around, not really sure what we'll do.
