The selectors would pick the squad for both the Tests as well as the Board President's team for the two-day warm-up game against the visitors, BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement.
South Africa are set to arrive on January 31 for playing two Tests and three ODIs against the home team.
The first Test is scheduled at Nagpur from February 6-10 and the second and last Test will be held at Kolkata's Eden Gardens from February 14-18.
Prior to the Test rubber, the tourists would take on the Cricket Board President's XI in a two-day match at Nagpur scheduled on February 2 and 3.
The three ODIs, to be held after the conclusion of the Tests, are scheduled to be played at Jaipur (February 21), Kanpur (February 24) and Ahmedabad (February 27).
