Motor sport manager Yohann Setna was granted bail after he was put behind bars by Chennai police on Saturday following his confession to have tampered with a video featuring ace rally navigator Vivek Ponnuswamy.
Vivek, who has been a navigator to some of the premier drivers in the country, lodged a complaint against Yohann around ten days ago, citing that, the latter, Narain Karthikeyan’s former manager, had tampered with a 40-minute video originally posted on Youtube by driver Samir Thapar. The video became an instant hit in the cyber world. As a case was registered by the Cyber Crime Cell of the Central Crime Branch and as per instruction of Commissioner of Police Chennai, S George IPS, a special team was put up to take Yohann into custody for the fraudulant act.
Yohann was taken into custody from a hotel in Chennai where he had checked in as a manager for a JK Tyre event at Irungattukotai. During the interrogation, Yohann confessed to have uploaded an edited video as a result of which he was arrested.
Later in the evening, he was granted bail by a city court.
