A hat-trick from Stalin powered Controllerate of Inspection Electronics (CIL) to a 3-0 win over bottom-placed DYES in their BDFA Super Division league match at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Monday.
Despite the win, which gave them three points, CIL remain stagnant on the sixth spot with 10 points after completing their league engagements. DYES, meanwhile, will be relegated after finishing with just one point from their nine matches.
A flurry of goals in the first-half settled the tie in favour of CIL, who were dominant right from the start and never gave a moment of relief to DYES.
Stalin opened the scoring for CIL in the 29th minute and added another in the 42nd minute. He hit the back of the net again in the added time (45+1) of the opening period as CIL led 3-0 at the stroke of half-time.
In the ‘A’ Division, Sri Gajanana rallied from a goal down to claim a 2-1 victory over Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE).
Kabilan broke the deadlock for ADE in the second period (53rd).
However, two back-to-back goals in the space of three minutes from Arun (78th) and Susairaj (80th) secured the tie in Gajanana’s favour.
