Redmond-based technology major Microsoft on Monday (February 22) launched the enterprise edition of the Surface Pro 7+ and Surface Hub 2S in India.
The Surface Pro 7+ features lightweight, sustainable commercial packaging that is 23% lighter than the previous generation. It is made from 99% natural fiber-based material, of which 64% is post-consumer recycled content, the company said. It comes in Black and Platinum colours.
Inside, it comes with the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors, which are said to be 2.1 times faster performance, and promises longer battery life of up to 15 hours.
It features USB-A, USB-C ports and can also dock with external displays and leverage the needed peripherals for a full workstation setup. It has both front and rear-facing cameras with 1080p full HD video along with Dolby Atmos speakers and dual far-field Studio Microphones, which comes in handy for virtual video conference.
Also, Surface Pro 7+ will ship with Windows Enhanced Hardware Security features enabled out of the box. It comes with a removable SSD option for data retention and supports Microsoft BitLocker protection, makes it easy for customers to retain sensitive data if something happens to their device.
"The devices can be managed and updated through the cloud from the first moment the device is turned on and throughout the device lifecycle without IT having to physically touch the device. Customers can have peace of mind in knowing they get great security without compromising employee or student experiences. Microsoft has accomplished this through tight integration between the UEFI (modern BIOS), firmware, and the Windows operating system stack and have shared their implementation of the Microsoft UEFI as open-source on GitHub as Project Mu," said Microsoft.

On the other hand, Microsoft Hub 2S features a massive 85-inch screen. It is made for a hybrid workforce. It supports Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise configurations.
Microsoft claims that the device can run all of the business-critical applications utilizing the massive 4K PixelSense touch and ink enabled screen, Microsoft Teams certified audio and video, and an array of onboard sensors.
It has a 20-point touch screen, far-field microphones, supports 4K camera, compatible with Surface Hub Pen 2, and Surface Hub 2 fingerprint sensor. It costs Rs 21,44, 999.
