OnePlus is expected to unveil the new flagship by the end of the first quarter of 2021 and reports indicate the OnePlus 8T will be succeeded by the OnePlus 9.
Popular technology reviewer Dave Lee of Dave2D YouTube fame has received a series of photos, understood to be of the OnePlus 9 Pro model. The interesting thing about the device is that it has Hasselblad branding on the camera module on the back.
Like Nokia-Zeiss and Huawei-Leica, OnePlus may have inked a collaboration with the Swedish camera-maker. OnePlus despite offering a really powerful chipset and super-fast charger technology in its phones, the camera hardware though decent for its price range, couldn't match the likes of Apple iPhone, Google Pixel, and Samsung phones until now.
But with Hasselblad, OnePlus phones may finally shine in the camera department in the upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro series. The photos show the handset will have two massive vertically aligned sensors with two smaller camera units, LED flash, and laser autofocus sensors.
We can expect the soon-to-be-launched OnePlus 9 Pro to take fantastic photos in all light conditions and also capture fine ultra-wide angle shots. Other expected features of the OnePlus 9 Pro include Qualcomm 888 octa-core processor, 4,500mAh battery with 65W charger, 12GB/16GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB storage.
Besides the Pro, the device is expected to come in a standard OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Lite with different configurations.
The company is known to tease key features to the OnePlus 9 before the launch. We will be keeping our ears to the ground to get the latest details on the new phone.
