I used it for more than a week and here are my thoughts on the new power bank from the home of Ubon.

Key specifications:

Input Charging Type: AC 100~240V 50~60Hz

Charging output: 30W Max

Battery capacity: 10,000mAh

Dimensions: 185mm (L) x 104mm (B) x 39mm (H)

Design and build quality

Ubon comes in a compact form factor with rugged built quality. It is made of sturdy polycarbonate materials.

The power bank has built-in over-voltage protection, which ensures only the prescribed speed and amount (30W Max) of power is delivered to the device. It should be noted that sudden uncontrolled power surges can damage important internal components of phones/tablets such as as resistors, capacitors, and Integrated Circuits (motherboard). It even has the potential to generate abnormal heating issues, which may lead to ignition and explosion.

It supports QC (Quick Charge) and PD (Power Delivery) technologies. It is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and laptops that support USB Type-C and iPhone (including iPhone 13 and older models with lightning ports).

It houses a built-in 90-degree foldable charging plug. It is a Type A plug two flat parallel pins compatible with power source points in the US and the western markets. The company offers a detachable Type-D plug adapter for the Indian market, which can be docked to any regular charging point in the house to charge the power bank.

This dual-option comes in handy while travelling to an international destination.

On the sides, it has a built-in type-C plug and lightning port. The former is best suited to power up earphones. And, the lightning port can be used to charge iPhone 14 (or older models) or AirPods (3rd gen or older variants).

The built-in Type-C cable serves dual-purpose, The sturdy cable forms a lanyard knot, when not in use. It helps to carry around the power bank with less hassle. Or you can put a smart tag, so that the device can found more easily when misplaced at home.

And, there are two more ports—one a Type-C USB port and a Type-A USB port. The latter can be used on phones and tablets with up to 30W charging speed. This Type-C USB port can also be used to charge the power bank via a computer or any regular phone charger.

Inside, as noted earlier, it comes with a 10,000 mAh battery capacity. This is more than enough to charge at least two regular phones with 5,000 mAh batteries.

However, I recommend the prospective buyer to use the charging cable offered by the phone company. The latter will be able to charge the handset faster. Same applies for iPhones too. Carry the Type-C-to-Lightning cable with the power bank.

And, if you are travelling a night-long journey on a bus or a train, this power bank can help you binge watch TV series and movies all day without any anxiety about running out of battery.

It also has a light indicator at the top centre, which lets the user know the battery level of the powerbank and accordingly charge up, whenever they find a safe charging point.

Final thoughts

Ubon PB-X110 is a good compact power bank option for both Apple and Android device owners.

Though the Ubon power bank looks small in dimension, packs an insane amount of power to charge up at least two regular phones simultaneously.

Also, the light indicator is a good value-added feature that lets users status of how much juice is left in the power bank. And, the five input/output ports make it a versatile power bank.
