The militants attacked the residence of the head of the pro-government "Aman Lashkar" in Adezai area late last night.

The rockets fired by the militants landed near his house and damaged power transformers, police officials said, without giving the name of the militia chief.

No loss of life was reported in the incident, they said. The laskhar in Adezai has been at the forefront of the campaign against the Taliban.

The militants have repeatedly targeted the leaders and volunteers of the militia. Nearly 40 people were killed when a suicide bomber targeted members of the Adezai lashkar while they were attending a funeral in March.
