Baku, Azerbaijan: US climate envoy John Podesta said on Monday that Donald Trump's election victory last week was disappointing to climate advocates, but that work to combat global warming would continue in the United States.

"For those of us dedicated to climate action, last week's outcome in the United States is obviously bitterly disappointing," Podesta said at the COP29 climate summit in Baku.
