Earthquake of magnitude 6.5 hits north of Halmahera, Indonesia

An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 struck north of Halmahera in Indonesia on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said.

The quake was at a depth of 105 km, GFZ said.
