Washington: The Federal Bureau of Investigation is leading the probe into the shooting at Donald Trump's rally in which the former president was shot in the right ear, the FBI said in a statement on Saturday.
The shooter was dead, one rally attendee was killed and two other spectators were injured in the shooting.
"The FBI has assumed the role of the lead federal law enforcement agency in the investigation of the incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred earlier today in Butler, Pennsylvania," the FBI said.
