Dubai: Islamic State claimed responsibility on Tuesday for a deadly explosion in Afghanistan's capital Kabul a day earlier.

In a post on its Telegram account, the militant group said one of its members detonated an explosive vest, killing and injuring more than 45 people.

On Monday, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran had said the blast killed six people and wounded 13 others.
