Japan tsunami highlights: All warnings downgraded to advisories, people asked to remain alert about more possible quakesJapan had a close shave after a 7.6 quake prompted tsunami warnings. While people evacuated and many were put up in shelters, the anticipated waves luckily did not hit the coast. People have however been asked to remain alert for more quakes and the Indian embassy there has put out a list of emergency contact details for nationals there. 2024 got off to a tough start, but thankfully the worst was averted for Japan.
