Awkward silences and painful mind-numbing conversations can certainly make a flight journey difficult. However, the journey can get more uncomfortable if the passengers are forced to watch an inappropriate film that is playing on every screen.

People on board a Qantas flight from Australia to Japan were, unfortunately, forced to live this experience.

Due to a technical snag, the flight wasn't able to offer individual movie selection. Thus, the staff asked the passengers what movie they would like to watch and they somehow wound up with watching a racy movie titled Daddio.

Starring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn, Daddio showcases the story of a  young woman returning home to her Manhattan apartment after a trip.

She starts talking to her taxi driver about her relationships with the driver also providing details about his life.

The film is rated R for its explicit sexual material and graphic nudity.

In a report by New York Post, passengers complained that there was no way to turn off the movie. Many were left flabbergasted after seeing the obscene sexts flash across their screens.

The report stated passengers were 'floored' by the racy nudity.

One of the passengers said, "So, I was on Qantas flight QF59 from Sydney to Haneda… and the in-flight entertainment system was down."

The passenger stated that the pilot waited for one hour due to this issue but eventually took off. Thus, the crew decided to play a movie on every screen.

“It was impossible to pause, dim, or turn it off. Here’s the kicker: the movie they played was extremely inappropriate.

The passenger stated it took the crew around an hour before they switched to a kid friendly movie.

However, until then, the passengers especially those travelling with families felt very uncomfortable.

Qantas said that when it became apparent the movie was not appropriate for all ages, the crew attempted to fix the screens for customers who did not want to watch it.

“The movie was clearly not suitable to play for the whole flight and we sincerely apologize to customers for this experience,” a Qantas spokesperson said.
