Washington: The Biden administration is focused on getting both sides in Sudan to engage in peace talks that are aimed at ending its civil war, White House national security spokesman John Kirby told reporters on Thursday.

"We're still very focused on getting both sides in Sudan back to the table," Kirby said, adding that the United States was very diplomatically engaged in the process as talks seeking to end the 16-month-old violence began on Wednesday.
