A picture of eight members of Tim Walz's family who is US President Kamala Harris' running mate has gone viral after they all claimed to support former president Donald Trump.

All the 8 members of the Walz family in the picture could be seen wearing blue t-shirts with 'Walz's for Trump' written on them.

In a post on X, the picture was shared along with a caption, "Tim Walz’s family in Nebraska poses for a photo wearing custom Trump shirts. Photo appears to be verified as legit. Trump 2024!!"

Though social media users have claimed that this picture which went viral has been generated using AI for the Republican Party's campaign, Trump shared the picture with the Walz family and thanked for the endorsement.

Trump wrote, "Just met the whole Walzes family in Nebraska! They love me and seem to despise Tim Walz. Thank you for the amazing endorsement. Walz’s for Trump!"

It is believed that Tim's elder brother Jeff (67) opposes his ideology 100 per cent and is a Republican supporter.

According to a report by The Times of India, Jeff said, "The stories I could tell... Not the type of character you want making decision about your future."

After the picture went viral, Jeff went on to assert that he doesn't want to influence the public. "It wasn’t my intent, it wasn’t our intent as a family, to put something out there to influence the general public," he said.

He further said, "I was getting a lot of feedback from my friends, old acquaintances, thinking that I was feeling the same way that my brother did on the issues, and I was trying to clarify that just to friends. I used Facebook, which wasn’t the right platform to do that. But I will say, I don’t agree with his policies."

"Nobody wanted to sit with him, because he had car sickness and would always throw up on us, that sort of thing. There’s really nothing else hidden behind there. People are assuming something else. There are other stories like that, but I think that probably gives you the gist of it," Jeff spoke sharing about Tim's childhood stories.
