South China Morning Post reported that the man visited the cafe on June 1 for a long gaming session. Ultimately, a cafe worker called the police on July 3 at 10 pm after the man, who had been lying at a computer desk, failed to respon even when tapped on the arm, the publication reported.

Reportedly, the worker said that the body had gone cold which prompted the call to the police. The man had left the cafe at 6 am on June 2 to get breakfast. A police officer noted that based on the breakfast residuals at the desk, authorities could deduce the deceased had not had lunch on June 2, the publication said.

His brother-in-law, meanwhile, said that the exact time of death could not be confirmed given the family had not allowed pathologists to carry out an autopsy, but raised questions about why the death was not spotted earlier.

"He sat in an open area instead of a closed partition. There should have been employees checking on him and noticing his strange behaviour," the publication cited him saying.

The boss of the internet cafe noted that the deceased was a regular customer who frequented the establishment almost every day and spent nearly six hours there each visit. The boss added that the man had looked healthy, reported SCMP.

The man added that his employees who were wokring at the time had not noticed that the young man had 'slept' for too long, adding that they did not wake him since 'often' when they wake sleeping customers, they tend to become irritable and the staff face the brunt of it.

The publication aid that as per local police the investigation is still under way.
