<p class="title">Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha member Dharmapuri Srinivas’s son, Sanjay, was booked by the police on Friday under Nirbhaya Act and various Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections for sexually harassing 11 nursing students. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Sanjay runs Shankary College of Nursing in Borgaon in Nizamabad.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The students met Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy on Thursday evening and sought action. </p>.<p class="bodytext">They told the home minister that Sanjay summons them to his room in the college and asks them to strip. They said he abuses them in a filthy language if they object to his advances. <br />They want the authorities to transfer them to another nursing college.</p>.<p class="bodytext">After they met the home minister, things started to move fast and the Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy made Nizamabad Police Commissioner Kartikeya swing into action.<br />The girls on Friday forwarded the lewd messages sent to them by Sanjay to the district police commissioner. </p>.<p class="bodytext"><strong>Marks for time spent</strong><br />One of the messages reportedly sent by Sanjay reads: “If you want more marks, spend (time) with me”. </p>.<p class="bodytext">A lecturer at the college is also said to have met the commissioner and narrated incidents of Sanjay’s inappropriate behaviour.<br />The police registered a case under the Nirbhaya Act along with IPC sections 354 (demanding sexual favours and making sexual advances), 354A (passing sexually coloured remarks) and 342 (wrongful confinement). </p>.<p class="bodytext">Sources say that Sanjay was not at home when the police tried to serve a notice to him. However, few local channels have telecast his reaction to the allegations. </p>.<p class="bodytext">He was seen clarifying that he had handed over the management of the college to some others and that he had nothing to do with its administration.
