Covid-19 has hit poor kids and education very hard

We are collectively witnessing a crisis that has turned the world upside down. The Covid-19 pandemic has infected nearly 12 million people worldwide and taken the lives of around 5,50,000. As I finish writing this article, that number may be inaccurate. We are in the midst of a global health crisis unlike any of our generation has seen. It is catalysing what many economists describe as the greatest economic downturn since the great depression of the 1920s. And, according to the World Health Organisation, it is expected to ‘stalk the human race for a very long time.’
