<p>"Air India has paid Rs 30 crore to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) towards the final settlement of all its dues," an Air India spokesperson told PTI here.<br /><br />These dues were on account of landing and parking charges, as well as ground facility rentals, the spokesperson said.<br /><br />Air India had amassed these dues over a period of time, with some unpaid sums even dating back to the time when the Delhi airport was under Airports Authority of India (AAI), the spokesperson said.<br /><br />The Delhi airport, along with the Mumbai airport, was handed over to private developers in 2006 for modernisation and development by forming joint ventures between private developers and the AAI.<br /><br />DIAL is a joint venture between AAI and infrastructure major GMR, with the majority stake held by the private developer.<br /><br />Air India had recently announced plans to develop a hub at the recently inaugurated state-of-the-art T3 terminal in DIAL. The airline also plans to launch new flights to overseas destinations such as Melbourne, Toronto and Chicago from October.</p>
