<p>As part of its 'Farm gate-to-Home gate' programme, the Federation would bring 'Nafed easy kit' containing kitchen basics to co-operative stores and other state-run retail outfits across the country at a price which will be 15-30 per cent lower than the open market rates, the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation (NAFED) Managing Director C V Ananda Bose told PTI here.<br /><br />"We can sell these items without any government subsidy by procuring directly from the production centres across the country using our infrastructure," Bose said.<br />The organisation had also worked out a national plan to strengthen its infrastructure for procurement and transportation of goods including foodgrain, pulses and edible oil, sugar and horticultural products, he said.<br /><br />"We already got a good mechanism to control the market. Now we plan to strengthen it by consolidating our delivery system which will help consumers as well as farmers by creating a pan-India market for farm produce," he said.<br />Nafed would be signing an agreement with Kerala Co-operative department tomorrow to sell its items through Triveni outlets.<br /><br />Other states where it is going to make a major presence is Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan and the north-east states, he said.</p>
