<p>The techie husband, who filed a private complaint against IPS officer Dr Bheemashankar S Guled (34), has produced evidence revealing the long-standing and deeper nature of the officer’s affair with his wife.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Magistrate V Jagadeesh took cognizance of his complaint, besides admitting video clips, WhatsApp messages and other evidence he submitted to prove Guled’s affair with the woman, which began in 2016.</p>.<p class="bodytext">In his petition, the man said Guled took advantage of his wife’s depressed mental state and tactfully exploited her condition. He added that the officer had videoed their sexual acts.</p>.<p class="bodytext">In all, the techie presented 54 video clips along with Guled’s WhatsApp messages to support his claim.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The techie said his wife was a physiotherapist in the UK. They met on a matrimonial website and got married in 2011. The couple lived in a house in Koramangala. Since they could not have children even after six years of marriage, the woman was depressed.</p>.<p class="bodytext">To help his wife recover from depression, the techie opened a multi-storey digital photo studio, costing Rs 1.25 crore, in Davangere in August 2016.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Two days after the studio was opened, Guled approached the techie’s wife for a photo shoot of his twin daughters’ birthday. The officer, the then SP of Davangere, invited her to his house and visited the studio many times. Since they are both from the medical background, their friendship bloomed.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The techie said Guled then took advantage of her mental condition and had an affair. He recorded their time together on his smartphone and sexually exploited her several times. In an attempt to make his visits to the studio appear normal, he proposed a joint venture business deal with the husband, convincing him that having a police officer as a partner would guarantee returns.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The techie stumbled upon his wife’s phone when she went missing in May and confronted her when she returned.
