<p>Three of a family were buried alive as a house collapsed in Hulikunte village of Challakere taluk on Tuesday night. Kodigowda (60), his wife Manjulamma (55) and daughter Mamata (25) are the deceased. <br /><br />Two more deaths were reported from Chikkaballapur and Koppal districts. <br />Water gushed into Mathadakurubarahatty on the outskirts of Chitradurga as a wall constructed to a nearby tank gave away. Traffic on National Highway-4 was affected for over an hour as irate villagers staged a protest.</p>
