<p>Celebration of language <br /><br /></p>.<p>It was time to celebrate language and literature at the Garden City College recently with ENGCONF 2012. <br /><br />Conducted over two days by the department of languages, the conference was titled ‘Recent Trends in Literature: A Global Perspective’. <br /><br />Students from 17 states and 66 cities came together in a celebration of languages and talked about contemporary literature, its various themes and presented papers on the subjects. <br /><br />The gathering meant for academicians, researchers and students in the field gave them a platform to discuss trends and voice their own ideas. Besides the chief guests, a host of dignitaries were present at the conference along with a large bunch of students.<br /><br /> Stimulating discussions were held and many came out of the conference informed. While language papers and discussions were the key, cultural celebrations weren’t left too far behind. The two-day event concluded with a cultural programme and a dinner spread. All present were fulfilled and invigorated. <br /><br /></p>
