Sandalwood may once again witness a high profile wedding of a celebrity couple who belong to prominent families in the film industry.
Actor Chiranjivi Sarja and multilingual actor Meghana Raj are likely to be engaged in the third week of October at a simple function at Sarja’s residence. The wedding is likely to take place in the second week of December.
Chiranjivi Sarja is the brother of actor Dhruva Sarja and nephew of actor Arjun Sarja. His grandfather is the late Shakti Prasad, a well known actor.
Meghana Raj, the only daughter of film actors Sundar Raj and Pramila Joshai, forayed into the film industry in 2009 with Telugu film Bendu Apparao RMP. She worked in many films in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil.
The couple were spotted attending parties together for the past three years but always maintained that they were just good friends.
When contacted, Chiranjeevi said he would announce everything on October 17 which is also his birthday.
“It is good if two families of the tinsel world became relatives. There were no discussions about either engagement or wedding,” he said and hastened to add, “If there is God’s grace, it will happen in future.”
News about Chiranjivi Sarja and Meghana Raj getting engaged comes three months after Sandalwood’s Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty got engaged on July 3.
Actors Yash and Radhika Pandit, who dated for over eight years, got engaged at a star hotel in Goa on August 12 and later got married.
