<p>Multi-lingual actor Prakash Rai, on Tuesday, filed a defamation case against Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha for making derogatory statements against him.</p>.<p>The actor, along with his lawyer M Mahadevaswamy, submitted an application at the IV Judicial Magistrate First Class court, seeking a compensation of Re 1. The case has been registered under IPC Sections 499, 500 and 503. The court, which received the application, postponed the hearing to March 3.</p>.<p>Rai said, "The MP had made derogatory and personal remarks against me. He had uploaded the messages on social media. I had sent him three notices, of which he received only one."</p>.<p>The actor said he was thinking of filing a defamation case against Union Minister Anantkumar Hegde also, for his remarks against him.</p>
