<p class="title">Renowned cartoonist Prabhakar Raobail (81) passed away at his residence in Bengaluru late on Wednesday night. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Raobail is survived by his wife Kumudini Rao, a noted dancer, and two daughters.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Born on November 17, 1937, at Bailangadi on Karnataka-Kerala border, Raobail obtained his BSc degree from Bangalore Central College and did his diploma in J J Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Raobail's cartoons have been published in leading English dailies, and several Kannada magazines. His works have also found a place in children's books and greeting cards sponsored by UNICEF, Cry among others. The Indian Institute of Cartoonists had selected Raobail for the Lifetime Achievement Award.</p>
