In the Constituent Circle of the city, the Rotary Club, Talent Vidya Samsthe, Hunsur, and NSS held a candlelight march with school children along Bazar Road and J.L.B., ending at Constitution Circle. Speakers highlighted the recent devastation caused by torrential rains in Kerala's Wayanad, attributing it to human actions like deforestation and urban construction. Naveen Rai, Head of Talent Institute, emphasised the urgent need for ecological awareness to safeguard future generations. Rotary Secretary H.R. Krishnakumar reflected on the lessons taught by nature and lamented the recurring forgetfulness of such lessons, especially when children are affected.
