In celebration of World Photography Day, Seshadripuram School in Tumakuru organised an insightful skill development seminar cum workshop on photography for students of classes 6 to 9. The event aimed to inspire and educate young minds on the intricacies of photography, with a particular focus on practical skills and career opportunities.
The seminar was led by Sri Pranav Anirudh, the co-founder of PACE (Pranavasya Academy for Competitive Excellence) and a renowned wildlife photographer. Sri Anirudh, who has garnered accolades in various photography competitions, is highly regarded in the photography community, with his work receiving praise from internationally acclaimed wildlife photographers such as Thomas Vijayan and Shaaz Jung.
During the seminar, Sri Anirudh covered a range of topics designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of photography. These included the Fundamentals of Photography, Types of Photography and Cameras, Smartphone Photography, and techniques for uploading photos on social media platforms. He also delved into the vast career opportunities that photography offers in today’s digital age.
One of the highlights of the session was the hands-on experience students gained in smartphone photography. This practical approach allowed students to apply the techniques discussed, fostering a deeper understanding of the art of capturing images.
The seminar was inaugurated by the Principal of Seshadripuram School, Smt. Nanda Nagraj, who emphasized the importance of skill-based seminars in shaping young minds. "Such seminars are invaluable to our students, as they encourage them to think creatively and explore new avenues," she said. "We believe in nurturing all-round development, and I look forward to organizing more such sessions in the future."
The event was highly appreciated by both students and faculty, who found it to be an enriching and educational experience. With the success of this seminar, Seshadripuram School continues to set a benchmark in providing holistic education to its students.
