<p>At least two CRPF personnel, including an officer, were killed and two others were injured after militants fired upon the paramilitary forces in the Lawaypora area on Srinagar outskirts on Thursday.</p>.<p>Reports said the militants fired upon a road opening party (ROP) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Lawaypora injuring four paramilitary personnel.</p>.<p>A CRPF spokesperson said two among the injured personnel succumbed while the other two were moved to Army’s 92-base hospital in Srinagar.</p>.<p>One of the slain CRPF officers was identified as sub-inspector Manga Ram Dev Barman. Soon after the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt to nab the attackers, reports said.</p>.<p>Inspector General Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were involved in the attack.</p>.<p>On December 30 last year, three ‘militants’ were killed in the same area. The Army said they were planning a big attack. However, the families of the slain refuted the claims of the Army and the police, claiming they were civilians and not ultras.</p>
