Officials, who inspected the area on receiving complaints from local residents about breathing problems after inhaling smoke from some burnt boxes of condoms, said these are worth about Rs 20 lakh.
As per official records, the condoms were supplied during 2009. However, an official who did not wish to be named claimed this was only on paper and in reality no condoms had been supplied.
Officials said they are verifying the batch number of the boxes and the voluntary groups to which they had been supplied, after which these agencies could be blacklisted.
