<p>Rohini Salian, who has quit as Special Public Prosecutor in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case, has alleged that in two incidents the Central Government prosecutors prevented a Maharashtra counsel from arguing the case.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to NDTV, she alleged that in January this year, Central Government Prosecutor Anil Singh prevented Maharashtra's senior counsel Mariar Puttam from arguing against the dropping of MCOCA charge on a few accused.<br /><br />In another incident, Union Additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had prevented Puttam from arguing for NIA.<br /><br />Rohini Salian said the Central Government Prosecutors were not even familiar with the case.<br /><br />Earlier, Rohini had alleged that she was asked to go soft against the accused Hindu extremists in the case.<br /><br />The powerful blast at Malian’s Bhikku Chowk on Navratri eve on September 29, 2008, claimed six lives and left 101 injured. <br /><br />Twelve accused are being tried in the case at a special court set up under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Four of the accused are out on bail.</p>
