<p>Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla met with the staff of Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) Vikrant and congratulated them for successfully accomplishing their maiden sea voyage on Aug 8. </p>.<p>“It is indeed a historic moment for India. We are going back to Kochi after five days of trials at sea. We're going back with a great sense of satisfaction. This has been possible with dedicated teamwork,” said Vice Admiral AK Chawla. </p>.<p>IAC Vikrant had sailed on August 4, 2021, from Kochi. Trials progressed as planned and system parameters proved satisfactory. The carrier would continue to undergo a series of sea trials to prove all equipment and systems prior handing over the vessel to the Indian Navy.</p>
