R G Kar Case in SC Highlights: Court directs SG to submit report on progress of National Task Force, next hearing on Oct 14

The Supreme Court is currently hearing the suo-moto case of the R G Kar rape and murder. The top court said that substantial leads have come into investigation report by CBI. The CJI has enquired about status of installation of CCTV cameras across state hospitals in Bengal. Meanwhile, a day ahead of the matter being heard in the top court, rallies were taken out to demand security at hospitals.
