<p class="bodytext">The state government on Friday extended the hike in salaries as per the 6th Pay Commission recommendations to employees of aided schools and pre-university colleges that come under the Department of Primary and Secondary Education, reports <span class="italic">DHNS</span> from Bengaluru. The benefit has been extended to cover aided institutions under the DPI and the DPUE, according to a government order.</p>.<p class="bodytext">There are 7,961 aided educational institutions with 58,355 employees under the Department of Primary and Secondary Education.</p>
