<p class="bodytext">As many as six students, including a student of Alva’s College in Moodbidri, from India have been selected for the Vishwa Mallakamba Championship at Dadar in Mumbai on February 16 and 17.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Veerabhadra Mudhol is the first student from Karnataka to represent the country in Vishwa Mallakamba Championship. Athletes from 12 countries will take part in the championship.</p>.<p class="bodytext">A special training for the members of Indian contingent will be held in Hyderabad till February 15. Apart from Veerabhadra, two from Maharashtra and from Tamil Nadu have been selected.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Mudhol is pursuing BCom (first year) at Alva’s College. Alva’s Education Foundation (AEF) offers free education to 75 students who are well-versed in Mallakamba. They are given free training in Mallakamba and education at the college.</p>
