<p>Bengaluru: The BBMP plans to acquire treated sewage water from the BWSSB to maintain its 1,280 parks.</p>.<p>BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath announced the decision during a recent meeting at the Palike's head office.</p>.<p>He directed officials to submit a report on borewell conditions in BBMP-managed parks, and called for immediate water supply arrangements where borewells are in a poor condition.</p>.BJP leaders file plea in Supreme Court for immediate elections in BBMP.<p>The BBMP is coordinating with the BWSSB to map parks to the nearest sewage treatment plants (STPs) for efficient water distribution.</p>.<p>"We have asked the BBMP's horticulture department to assess demand, and we expect their report within a week. Based on that, we will map parks to STPs and supply water," BWSSB Chairman Dr Ram Prasath Manohar told DH. He estimated the demand at approximately 10 MLD.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Leaf composting units </p>.<p>Also, the BBMP is setting up leaf composting units in 100 parks.</p>.<p>Tushar Girinath said that fallen leaves should be composted on site and used within the parks.</p>.<p>With dry leaves accumulating across the city due to the summer, the BBMP plans to identify collection points and implement clearance measures.</p>.<p>Girinath instructed Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) officials to ensure citywide cleanliness.</p>
