<p>The third edition of the Bengaluru Poetry Festival will be held on August 4 and 5 at The Leela Palace hotel. The festival has attracted a number of internationally recognised poets and artistes who have confirmed their participation.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The second edition of the festival had seen performances, readings, discussions and debates by Gulzar, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pavan Varma, Ranjit Hoskote, Ashok Vajpeyi, Dr Chandrashekhara Kambara, Mame Khan and many others.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Subodh Sankar and Lalitha Lakshmi, the founders of Atta Galatta, the Bookstore and Events Space, realised that while poetry as a form of self-expression was gaining immense popularity, and Indian poets and poetry were increasingly being recognised the world over, there were limited opportunities available for poets within the existing literary festival platforms. </p>
