<p>Ira Nagappa S (24) from Ananthapura, a sales executive of HDFC bank and a resident of Garvebhavipalya was the dead man. The injured were Shivalingaiah and Madhusudhan. Both the injured are out of danger, said the police. <br /><br />Nagappa had stopped his bike at the Himalaya junction traffic signal near Sagar Theatre around 1.45 pm. There was a man on a moped, an autorickshaw and a van in front of him. A BMTC bus, coming from behind them bore down on them at high speed and hit Nagappa as bus driver Shivaputra failed to control the bus as its brakes failed. <br /><br />Nagappa came under the front wheel of the bus and was killed instantly. The bus also collided with another two-wheeler, the autorickshaw and the van. The auto driver managed to survive by jumping out of his vehicle which was damaged completely. Madhusudhan fell down from his moped and sustained injuries on his legs and hands. Shivalingaiah, who was in the driver’s seat of the van also sustained injuries. The rear portion of the van was completely mangled, said the police, who have arrested Shivaputra.<br /></p>
