<p class="rtejustify">The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths raided a house in Hanumanthanagar and arrested two persons for manufacturing illicit/adulterated pesticide using aluminium phosphide.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">While arresting Rakesh and P V Harinath, the police also seized around 240 tonnes of adulterated pesticides, labels, empty cans, and aluminium tubes along with sealing and packing machines and tools from the house.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">The raid followed a tip-off from an informer that suspicious activity was observed at a house in Mount Joy Extension in Hanumanthanagar.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Located in a residential area, the house was turned into a manufacturing unit for the pesticides. The sleuths registered two cases at the Hanumanthanagar and Basavanagudi police stations.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Further inquiries revealed that Rakesh and Harinath sold the pesticides in the name of various reputed company and brands available in the market.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">A company located in Yelahanka has also been made party to the case as they supplied aluminium tubes and cans to pack the adulterated pesticides, the police said.</p>
