<p>The Women Adventure Network of India (WANI) celebrated the International Women’s Day with a green note on Sunday by holding a bicycle rally in the City.<br /><br />The ‘Go Green Bangalore’ campaign was organised by WANI in association with the Transport Department. The programme began at 7 am and a good number of people turned out from different parts of the City to participate in it. <br /><br />The rally was flagged off from Kanteerava Stadium by the BDA chairperson Vatsala Watsa. The participants pedalled up to Hebbal Flyover and the participants returned to the originating point of the rally to finish. <br /><br />To check pollution<br /><br />The office-bearers of the organisation Vasumathi Srinivasan and Smitha Srinivasan stated that the objective behind holding the bicycle rally was to promote fitness among women fight diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, and decrease traffic congestion on the roads.<br /></p>
