A family from Dodda Ankanahalli, Maddur taluk, admitted two girls to Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here. <br /><br />Pooja, 15, and her cousin Pallavi, 16, were brought from Mysore on Saturday two days after Pooja’s sister (Roja, 16) died at Apollo Hospital in Mysore on Thursday. <br /><br />Stating that the three girls were first taken to hospitals in Koppa, near Maddur, and a Mandya hospital, father of Pooja and Roja, Ramakrishna, said, he finally took them to Mysore. <br /><br />“But we could not save my daughter because the hospital had mediocre facilities,” he alleged, adding that the cremation was done on Friday. <br /><br />He decided to bring the two girls to Bangalore, where Pooja is recovering and Pallavi is responding well to medication. <br /><br />BBMP Chief Health Officer S B Nagaraj, while confirming that there have been 30 fresh cases reported in three days, said the authorities are working on controlling the spread. <br /></p>
