<p>Five baby girls born on Tuesday at BBMP maternity homes in the city will get Rs 5 lakh aid under the corporation's Pink Baby scheme.</p>.<p>Under the scheme, girl babies born through natural deliveries in BBMP maternity homes on January 1 will be eligible for Rs 5 lakh aid.</p>.<p>The amount will be deposited in a bank account and the parents will have to utilise the money for the girl’s higher education. The scheme was introduced by former Mayor R Sampath Raj.</p>.<p>Shashikala and Shiva from Rajajinagar maternity hospital, Muzakeera Banu and Syed Salman from Nandini Layout, Asha and Udaykumar from Ganganagar maternity hospital, Lakshmi Buda and Akash Buda from Tavarekere hospital and Noor Fatima and Syed Waseem from Thimmaiah Road maternity hospital are the parents of the girl babies.</p>
